Brian D. Tran

I am an MD-PhD student in the Health and Information lab at the University of California, Irvine, with a concentration in healthcare informatics. My research aims to help clinicians foreground patient-centered clinical activities in their work by automating data entry and collection. My work studies clinicians’ documentation practices to inform the safe design of digital scribes and evaluates their effects on clinical workflows, documentation, and patient care.
